March Issue of the Report

Hi,

I'd like to know when the SC report has been mailed, just because it's the 15th of March and here in Italy where I live the March issue didn't arrive. I experienced similar delays with other issues of the report but this time it's taking really a lot of time, and from what I heard this issue is full of great and helpful articles! Any info is welcome, I didn't contact Jim Butt directly because I recall that he travels much for his job, so before sending him an e-mail perhaps I can get some help here.

The March issue of the SCR went to the Post Office on February the 18th - 19th.

Given the international mail situation, it's still possible that your issue is still in transit. If you don't see it in a couple of days, please contact Jim Butt for a replacement issue.

I'm in Canada, and mine

I'm in Canada, and mine just arrived late last week. Seems like any mail that comes to us from the US enters some kind of time warp when it hits the border. I'm closer than some states and it still takes several weeks longer to get here.

I think that the dudes in the post office are grabbing the reports, leaving them in the staff room for a week or so, and then finally sending it along.

Also, please remember that you did not send in your renewal until long after the mailing list deadline for the March issue had passed. Your copy of The Report was just mailed last Tuesday, the day after your renewal was entered into the database.

Folks, please try to remember that the membership duties are only handled usually twice a week. The mailings usually go out on Tuesdays. In this world where we are used to instant gratification, our volunteer staff's personal lives must be taken into consideration, and remember that printed paper takes longer to deliver than emails

thanks for the reply and infos on my report but I didn't understand what "mailing list deadline for the March issue" means. I remeber that I sent my renewal money for 2004 membership on Nov 2003, but evidently, as you said, my renewal was entered in the database only this week.I'm not absolutely in a hurry for the report, I just wanted to know if there were any problems, and I understand very well that the SC executive committee is having a very hard time to handle the SC and the Report...no problem, Jim!!
