Close enough. The Kelsey Grammar character addresses the photo in the captain's stateroom with the phrase: "Live to fight another day, Captain Boone." While it's kind of odd for a captain to have his own photo hanging the wall of his stateroom....that's how I interpret it.

Oh, and the sub was called the Sting Ray. The Sea Tiger was from Operation Petticoat.
