    How to start

I am sorry I believe that someone already might have asked this question but I couldn't find it. I am trying to make a submarine about 50 cm long but I cannot find any good resources how to start. My main problem is what programming language to use or where to find some codes that i would be able to alter and fix it for my own... I am new to this and I was amazed seeing some fantastic work being done by some people...

    Thank you

Welcome to the SubCommittee! There are a lot of folks here who can help in your drive to build an r/c submarine.

Let me start by pointing you to several articles that have been written by our members to help folks get a start. We call it "R/C Sub School" and it can be found here: http://www.subcommittee.com/sub101.html

You'll find a lot of the 'core' information that you'll need to build an r/c sub, but right now we don't have any articles specifically dedicated to the selection and programming of micro controllers/computers. There are a couple of folks who are essentially blazing a trail in this area using things like the Arduino. Check out this thread as an example: http://subcommittee.com/forum/showth...obbe-y-Arduino

-hope this helps to get you started,

Forgot to (also) add that one of our members, Steve Neill, has written a pretty comprehensive book on building an R/C submarine. It's available at this link: http://subcommittee.com/forum/showth...-quot-Download
