    Ohio Sail Fin Question

I have just received my Floating Drydock 1/96 scale drawings of the Ohio class subs.

However the drawing seems to very very poor in quality and in detail.

It lacks the sail fin drawing on the top down view of the sub (???)

Had I known the drawing was this poor I would never bought it.

Does anyone have a top down view of an Ohio Class sail fin. I have many many color pictures but I am looking for a better drawing.

    Thank you

        Nick,

        I have a correct appendage

        Nick,

I have a correct appendage set available, which includes a correct sail. I do have a very accurate drawing of the OHIO class, but it is not available until the kit is released. This is the only drawing I know of that is accurate. Dave Merriman, Steve Reichmuth, and a host of other have been huge supporters of contruction of these drawings. Of course, the best part of this effort was a tour of the USS NEBRASKA at Kings Bay.

What detail are you looking for specifically? I would be glad to take shots off of the CAD drawing and convert them to a .jpg if you can be a bit more specific as to what you are looking for. Is this constructive?

          Hi Nick,

          Matt has the best

          Hi Nick,

Matt has the best drawings on these vessels available. In your research on the Ohio class, you can rest easy on one thing, what you discover in your Ohio model research on one Ohio class SSBN will apply to all the others visually for sure. They are (externally any ways) all visually identical. Yawn!

The only thing I foresee changing visually is that the first four subs in this class are now beginning refit and conversion from SSBN's into SSGN's. They will for sure have some changes in their communication masts, and dry shelters on their 'turtleback' for swimmer delivery vehicles and so on... and so forth. LOL.
