I believe they are also called peristaltic pumps. I've used some small commercial pumps in the past. They usually have multiple rollers (I think 3 or more) on the ones I used. The only problem is with the tubing. It periodically needs replacement. They do provide a good positive seal AND are reversible..... They also require a bit of power to operate.
