Click to read about Mike Dory's torpedo system

It's all there in the site above, Skuggan]http://www.subcommittee.com/forum/icon_biggrin.gif[/img] )

I'm not sure who you are going to be battling but in sanctioned warship combat events they only allow 1/144 scale models - that's a pretty small submarine for any torpedo system.

SHARK ALERT! - Perhaps the lawyers aren't as vicious where you are, but we Norte Americanos try to be very careful not to have anything that shoots a projectile where there is the slightest chance of injury to self or bystanders. Due care and maturity are key.

        Hi Tim.
Well The group that Im going to be playing against allow about anything, because there isnt that many players.
Well sadly enough of course I really think that its Daves, system that I would like to try to duplicate.
Don't get me wrong the other torpedo launchers looks really cool, but I don't really like the way their built, but you are saying that Daves torpedo launcher is like almost impossible to build?
Also I have another question, since I haven't gotten my Typhoon from Engel yet, Is there enough room in the front to mount a six torpedo launch system?

Is it me or the guy's bathing trunks are brown ?

About the engel typhoon, There isn't room to put working torpedoes in the front because of the mecanism for the front dive planes. If you can make a different mecanism that doesn't take as much room, then you can set up 6 torps

You mentioned making holes in other boats with your torpedos.
How about a spring loaded pin in the head of the torpedo that catapults into the hull of your victim when contact is made.
This would be your simulation of the explosion of a real torpedo.

Just make sure to keep your fingers away and put some safety cap on it.

ThierryC how many torp can you put in the typhoon without modifications to the front dive planes?
Is it heavy modification? difficult or just something that has to be done?

                Scott T
Yes that would be a cool thing, unfortunatly it is not allowed, I can only have 2 inch of aluminium slugs for ammo.

                  You cannot put any torpedoes

You cannot put any torpedoes in the typhoon without modifications of the dive plane mecanism.
As you can see on this picture, there is a lof room but the mecanism is right in the way, you would have to rig a system without the horizontal bar that connect the 2 dive planes.

Hmmm looks pretty complicated to rebuild the dive planes, alot of rebuilding is necessary.
Has anyone any ideas? Thierry have you got any ideas?

I need a closer image, with the camera set to "Macro" for good focus, and a reverse angle image, from the back side to see the connections.

I can't quite see what it is that needs to be re-designed.
I would propose splitting the control bars, and coming down either or both sides of the submarine.

Thierry can you fix this for me? or anyone else with a Engel Typhoon
