Looking for a certain submarine kit

Hello!

Well this might become a little difficult.
When my brother and I were kids (about 20 yrs ago) my brother got a submarine plastic model kit.

What I can recall is that the kit was from Revell (don´t know weather it was Revell Germany or U.S.).

It was a U.S. submarine from WW II

It had some workable details like propeller and rudders for diving and steering.

The bow diving rudder (sorry for my lack of knowledge of submarine technical informations) could be flapped upwards.

Anybody out there who remembers this kit and could give me some information on it, as I try to find it on Ebay or somewhere else.

do you remember when it was issued first?
