New R/C Sub on the way! - Any hellpfull tips?

Hello everyone! I am sorry that I have been absent from this message board for so long, but I was caught up with long hours at work. This past week I put in an order for my first R/C Sub! I'm getting a 1/96 scale Skipjack kit from D & E Miniatures as well as a new WTC-3 from the same company! Atte: SubComEast members-- I'll also try to come to the monthly fun runs a lot more offten now that I'm getting my own boat together.
And now I was hoping the some of you could give me an idea of about how much it cost to go to the Sub Regertta in New York last year? I'd like to go this year, but I need to get an idea of how much the hotels and meals will set me back. Thanks ahead of time,

    Terry,

    Look forward to seeing you

    Terry,

Look forward to seeing you at the pool. For more information
on the upcoming Regatta at Johnston Rhode Island, go to
main board and check out events. There are two hotels
in the area and both are resonable. It is a well run event,
giving you a chance to see a lot of varied subs and alot of
the folks involved in the hobby. I am sure the contacts
listed can give you the most update information.

    Ron

      Hi Terry,

      Congrats!

Let us know when you will make one of the SubComEast runs and either I or Jim Wheeler will bring our D&E Skipjacks with us so you can get some ideas of what to do (and what not to do!)....

Thanks, I'll let you guys know. I was told that my Skipjack would not be ready for shipping to me for about 6 to 8 weeks. Now for the long wait....

          Terry,
          Glad to hear it!

          Terry,
Glad to hear it! Feel free to stop by the house sometime to chat subs, I'm only 30 minutes north of you (and lived around the corner on Old Harford Rd until 4 years ago)
