Any one knows of any VICTOR III plans avalible? I am looking in to making a scratch build hull so any links to good images, drawings or data is welcome.
Axel about four years ago Jon amder made a set for the victor III (one of my favorite ruskie boats) I havent seen him post on the message boards in a long time.. maybe sombody else
knows how to get a hold of him..
Tom
BTW, does anyone know how to save pictures from that site? I want to blow-up the Type XIV and Project 627 stuff but I can't save the picture to mess with it in Photoshop.
After many weeks looking and studing every Victro III image I could get and based on the drawings at the "deepstorm" site, I finally have a set of plans. I first made a 3D model of the sub so it can be compared with the avalible photos. Then I simply made a set of 2D drawings from the 3D model. Some images are at my "subcommittee homepage", just look for Axel R. Armada.
The images of the plans are not too good and I am only showing the first sheet (1 of 2). I try many ways to show better images but the 640x480 resolution dosen´t help very much. I have the plans in Autocad.
Some of the detail is plain speculation but is as far as I can go with the little information avalible. The free flood venta at the bottom of the hull are mainly imagination.
If some one have more information on this sub or comments about the my plans please let me know. I am looking for more info on the detail of the deck to add this to my plan an have a nice scribed hull
The 3D model was made using Rhino3D. The 2D drawing was then translated to Autocad 2000. I have been working with many 3D software and Rhino is the easiest by far.
