I think the design of the new website looks great, however I have a question regarding the "members area".
I tried to log in using the same username/password that I use in this forum but it did not work, is this "members area" something that perhaps is not yet "up and running"?
The login for the web site is currently a different process than for the forum. This is something that we're trying to figure out how to 'fix'. That is I'd like to see a single logon web site-wide.
There is also not an automated web site registration mechanism...yet!
We wanted to get the new site up and running and to stop delaying it's introduction!!!
Just wanted to let everyone know that the new site is 95% ready.
If you'd like your membership added to access the full features of the site, just e-mail me at webmaster@subcommittee.com, and I'll get you registered as soon as I can.
For those of you who have already e-mailed me to add your name, I'll have you added by tomorrow (Sunday) morning, as there as some modifications that need to take place prior to full implementation.
Thanks to everyone who has patiently waited for the new site to come online. Once submissions for pictures, links, and reviews are entered, I'm hoping to maintain less than a 24hr delay before it's uploaded.
Be sure to let me know if you have any questions, concerns, or comments.
1. Can you put up a better link from the old messageboard to the new site. Something along the lines of 'NEW SITE IS UP, CLICK ON ICON FOR LINK' and place a big Sub Committee logo to click on.
2. The front page text banner looks a bit too small IMHO. I'd make it half as big again.
3. I'd like to see the logo mounted on the right hand corner of the page. That area looks a bit bare, plus I think the current position of the logo looks a bit 'tucked away'.
