Yeah I know that it is small, but it will be on par with the Skipjack as far as size. I am gathering information as we speak, and supported by Wayne in this effort. There has been rumored that there is interest in this subject. I am here to flush out those that are interested. I have the summer off while I begin my job hunt for an engineering job that interests me. So I have the time and the tools to do it. The boat will be about 27 inches long and a beam of about 3.5 inches. I am sure that there are going to be a few wtc options that would be suitable for this boat. The hull will be glass, with resin and cast metal pieces. The hull will have details scribed into the master so that they are replicated in the hull. As for a final price, I am thinking that it will end up ranging between $390-440, though I need to see what the cost of materials is as well as a few other things.
I am going to be taking deposits, I must receive a minimum of 5, that will not be refundable unless there are extenuating circumstances or if I fail to receive the minimum number. My reason for doing this is threefold, first I want to see what the real interest is in the boat, and if it justifies the investment. The next reason is that it will keep me committed to the project. Last it will give me the start up cash to get the project going.
If you are interested and have the ability to make a deposit, let me know.
