Badly matched is such a harsh term.
Lets just say I am putting a heavy load on the motor.
Much more than it is rated for.
Which is why I use the water cooling and onboard pump.
Looks like Pete's PJ is not that different from the big 7 blade scimitar I had. BD.

Have you seen the Micrologger by Eagletree?

There very useful gadgets enabling you to measure things like current, voltage, motor RPM, temperature etc. etc. The data is stored in memory and you can view it on a computer to see what your model is doing.

Very handy for seeing if you're getting the best out of a particular set-up.

          Here you go-

They're great fun, and very useful. Eagletree really back their stuff up well too. I have the powerpanel too, which is handy when bench testing if you don't have a computer nearby.

It would be super handy if they brought out an app for an iphone, then you could ditch the laptop.

All the broken fiddley bits have been fixed except for the ESC which I have ordered new FETS for in hoping that was the only problem.
The Sushi may live to fight again. BD.

Jeff, Maybe it could be called a Tempura?

Well I guess I lucked out and replaceing all the FETs in the 480 ESC did the trick.
The big MCD unit is again working.
Now I can start putting the Sushi back together.
I still have to get a high power BEC as the old one burned out.
Looks like the old girl will live to fight another day. BD.
