    Ditto! Be careful and blessings.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

Be careful, my East Coast friends! Keep your head down and batten down the hatches. We went through a hurricane in Baton Rouge in 1998. It is NOT a fun experience. Have plenty of batteries, fresh water, and non-perishable food. A battery powered TV/DVD player and a cooler full of beer makes the day go by quickly.

We're just about finished getting things prepared. Even here in the Annapolis area it looks to be pretty bad. We have an extra propane cylinder filled so we can cook on the outside grill in the event we lose electricity. Bathtub filled as well...not for drinking but for the toilets. (there are priorities!)

Will report back over the weekend. Everyone stay safe,

          Re: Stay safe!

Preparations are well in order! Last time we had a big blow like this (Gloria), I was at sea, on the surface while the other NLON boats were sortied out under us. We had the pleasure of getting the ORSE team back to port so they wouldn't miss their next appointment! Nukes suck! Anyway, things will be ok and we will surface late Sunday afternoon to a week's worth of great weather.

Woman...............where's that box of Slim Jims?????????????????????? And why are you hiding the can of spray cheese?????????????????

I hope that all you boys to the wester'd faired OK. Irene stopped by for a drink last nite. Bit of a blow hard, made a lot of noise(no sexist comments here) and left, but nothin' compared to her cousin who stopped by this past february.

I lost power about 1030 Sunday morning and just got it back today about 6 a.m. Generator did better than I expected, I ran it for a couple of hours a few times a day. We were able to keep the fridge and freezer cold, make hot water and get showers. No tv, internet or phones so no good information coming in. I had to go into town to get cell service. Got some trees to clean up but fortunately nothing hit the house.
