Road Trip

While the rest of you 8-Balls were sampling the safe waters of Black Creek Park, this lone traveler was off on a top secret mission to the nether regions of a far off land. The alleged purpose of this journey was to reaffirm alliances forged in a far distant past, and to share submerged adventures with our northern brethren.

The secret location of our destination harbor was marked by a floating island anchored offshore.


The arrival of the C.M. Delegation. Those 8-Balls in-the-know will understand what the initials stand for.






Captains plying their trade.

This mysterious vessel is loosly based on the Branson deep diving mini-sub.


Lighter-than-water craft were also to be seen.


Even the National Air Force made a showing.


This light weight bird flew with ease, and was a fine stunt performer.

This time fully armed with live ordinance. Two rocket powered missiles were successfully test fired from a depth of several inches, something you will never see at any sanctioned event. To encourage safety and avoid the risk of litigation, we cannot show the actual launch photos, but be assured, it was spectacular. Kids, don't try this at home!






Harper Goff's Nautilus makes an appearance.




Here she is poised to make her final dive to "her last deep resting place".

A well known I-19 was in need of rescue!

Salvage divers were brought in to attempt the recovery.


Heavy lift equipment stands at the ready.

No problem, Ben. I always enjoy the weekend with you and the guys. Thanks for having me.

The ribs were tasty indeed! I would have taken lots more photos, but I had neglected to clear all the SubRegatta stuff from my camera from the prior weekend, and ran out of space. Once I did make some room and shot a few more, my battery died and I didn't have all my recharging hardware with me. Ah well, I still have the good memories. Til next time then....

That they are Frank, though only of the store-bought variety. As virtually any Canadian Lady-of-the-House can demonstrate, the homemade ones are far superior.

The pastry looks like what we call "pecan tarts". And they are really rich but very tasty. Doesn't everything taste better home made?? When was the last time you had a home grilled hamburger that wasn't better than Mickie D's?? If you answered yes to this, find a better cook!!
