2011 Australian SubRegatta - Central Coast NSW, June 11/12

Hi Everone,

Have you been working hard on those subs but started itching again for an awesome place to run them and a fantastic bunch of people to run them with? Then we'd love to see you all at the inaugural Central Coast Model Submarine Regatta over the 2011 Queen's Birthday long weekend!

Organized by a few of our enthusiastic inter-state members (thanks, gents!), the Triple "S" Model Boat Group is sponsoring a new SubRegatta running in alternate (odd) years to complement the biennial Canberra run. We have the exclusive use of a huge 50m Olympic pool at beautiful Gosford on the NSW Central Coast, with further event details available under the "SubRegatta" link on our club website: http://triple-s.org.au

Wow - what a great time we had at the inaugural Central Coast SubRegatta! About 20 people came long, 15 of those running a total of 27 subs - not bad for the first year Thanks especially to David B for choosing such a great venue, Jim R & John S for the excellent evening model submarine tech talks and Carl L & John again for sending me their photos.

I've updated the SubRegatta page on the Triple "S" website http://triple-s.org.au which also contains a new photo gallery of many of our subs plying the depths of the Gosford Olympic pool.

Many thanks to all who attended and I look forward to sailing with you again!
