I recently joined the SC and have rec'd my first (current) issue and several older issues that I ordered.

I have several books/e-book on order and I'm in 'research/learning' mode at this point.

I have 30 years of RC (aircraft) and static modeling experience but I'm a complete 'newbee' when it comes to (RC) submarines.

I'm very excited about this hobby and looking forward to the point where I can get my first 'kit' and get building!

I live in Western MA.

Welcome aboard! We here at Subron4 have some very talented guys that are more than happy to help. They have been building boats for many years and can answer your questions no matter how stupid you may think they are so ask away. I'm a bit of a newbie myself but I can answer the easier questions. And that's just the local guys. The forum is full of people from all over that can guide you through what ever problem you run into and they are more than happy to do so as well.
Just so you know, we have our monthly meetings on the third Saturday of each month and you are more than welcome to attend. No boat required just come out and have some fun. Look for the announcement here in our section and if you give me your email address I will make sure you get on that notification list as well.
