I was also at Carmel and another nice site was found as a substitute. It seems the Indy area has an abundance of good places to sail. Yes, it was a shame that some signals got crossed but everything worked out fine.
No - Jim Wheeler didn't come due to work commitments but in spite of that we had a great time. Chris Campbell brought us to another pond just a few mintes away and it was PERFECT. Clear water, easy access for putting boats in and out - and the weather couldn't have been better. It was in a neighborhood that Bill Gates would have been proud to live - HUGE new homes and lots of new ones being built. The pond was lined with brick all around and the Indy Admirals had a nice little dock that made launching and landing a breeze.
Chris turned what could have been a disaster into one of our better fun runs and he got a guy to help me get my motorhome back on the road. Thanks Chris!
I will post some photos in a few days (on my website since this one hasn't had photos changed in like... FOREVER!)
