    October Meeting

    All,

This month we will converge on Tony's home at @ 1030 AM, OCT 17. If the weather is good, we'll proceed to Walden Pond in Lexington, MA to check it out. Should be there between 1130 and 1200. If the weather is sucky, we'll stay at Tony's, rile up his dogs to the point of hysteria, eat all his food, and clog up his plumbing!! Since it's time to shift to Cold Water Rules, skimmers will be the runners at the pond.

    Take care,

    Bill

    Since I now live rather

Since I now live rather close to Walden Pond, I can assure you that it is in Concord, Ma. and not Lexington, Ma.

      Bill fought in both towns

Bill fought in both towns in 1775 and got them mixed up. Battle fatigue.

          That's ok. Last time I

That's ok. Last time I was up that way (1973), we thought we were in Concord, MA, but it turned out we were in Concord, NH. Why don't you guys get some unique names for places, instead of reusing old ones?

              Like the John F Kennedy

Like the John F Kennedy library, the Rose Kennedy greenway and the future site of the Ted Kennedy Institute for Senatorial studies? We are very proud of these as they just received over $30 million dollars in funding thanks to a stimulus package earmark by John Kerry. We certainly didn't need this money for teachers or firefighters....

                  I'm glad to hear that

I'm glad to hear that there might be an event in the Boston area! I've been making slow process on my VII/C and I could use some advice. I live in Brookline and with 2 young kids I've never been able to swing the trip down south. I'd be more than happy to host the crew for food and drink at my home in Brookline or at my office in Waltham. Assuming that most of you from the south would come up Rt 128 the former is about 10 miles out of the way and the latter is almost directly on 128. Given the over the top shoping my wife does for company -- not sure you guys qualify but we won't tell her that -- there's no way you'd eat me out of food and I'll just put the plumber on standby.

                        Scott,
                        A very generous offer,

                        Scott,
A very generous offer, indeed! Let's just see how the weather plays out, and if it's nice, we'll meet you at the pond. We'll respectfully hold off on trying to eat you out of house and home! That way, no one gets burned. As Tony has mentioned, he's close to you during the week, as are Dr. Art and Chris. All are experienced RC boaters, with Art being the innovator, Chris with dogged determination, and Tony the Type VII runner. Hopefully, we'll get to meet in Concord.

                        Take care,
                        Bill
