Hey Charlie, I hope to make it. Been busy on the new mold which is done now.
There is a bottom half mold and now a top half mold with lateral rakers/keels, so it should be a lot easier to make a hull. So if I make it to Church Lake, maybe I can bring a new hull?
Bring your new hull if you can; bring a surface runner if you don't have a sub.
I am/have invited some of my buddies from my old model boat club to our gathering and they said they might make it. Both of these guys fly r/c electric park flyers and both have boats. We will see what they bring. One guy has a camera on his plane and makes some good video. Would be interesting to see a strafing run shot on the subs...
Don't panic these guys if they bring a plane they are real sharp and a lot of fun.
You missed it guys! Great weather and some good guys meeting and sailing their models. I think this was the first time I had the only running sub at the lake. Here are a few shots of the fun!
