October subrun

Well October is here and it looks like the regular run will be October 25. Location is Gilligans Island park in St. Mary's Ga. at 10am.

That's two weeks away so get those boats ready!

I still need to assemble something but who knows what I'll have.

Thank God gas is cheaper, $2.58gal and headed in the right direction, makes it easier to drive 275 miles.

Speakin of Lafayette class, the Lafayette kit I have is on sale right now and with the dollar to Euro conversion its about $400 cheaper than what I paid about a year ago. That includes the dive tank and ballast controller, makes me want to buy another one.

yes, that is exactly what I'm saying. its not the the dollar is getting stronger, its the Euro is losing ground because of the crap economy, that coupled with the fact Engel has it listed on sale. its crazy I know, I had to go back and look to see what I paid and yes almost $400 cheaper then I paid.

I'm working on the Gato soon to be the Cod. I had a lot of trouble getting straight prop shafts. That is taken care of now and I will begin working on assembling the hull.

Seriously, he said he had some company in for his B-day so he would be tied up. I think he dropped his model and doesn't want to look bad showing up with a busted boat. Unlike me because I had good boats and made them bad, haha!

As for the Gato. I have most of the stuff. I haven't done an inventory of the WTC from Caswell but if I'm not mistaken I need all of the servos and a few other odds and ends. Looks like the WTc came only with a motor and gear box, servo tray and ballast system. I could get her up and running as a surface runner until I get a 6 function radio and I may do that to get wet.
