I showed the guy's that made it to Bob's last Saturday these pictures I took of a nice pond we could possibly run in. It in a place called Ninigret park. An old air base turned over to the town I live in. The water is reasonably clear, very few weeds, none in the swimming area and has a sandy bottom. Let me know what you guy's think and if you want I am willing to talk to park officials and find out if we can run there. The only down side is I think the pond gets very deep in the middle.
The first two will give you an idea how big the pond is.
This one shows the bottom at about 1.5 feet deep.

About the worst case scenario for weeds. this is off to the side of the swimming area.
For a small fee there is a pavilion.
Facilities.
A nice parking lot real close to the pond.
And if you want to bring the family.
We should have pretty much unrestricted use if it's not the swimming season (so to speak) and maybe we can run outside of the swim area during. Questions I will ask if you decide to give the place a try. I have some more pictures but these should give you the idea.
