Looks like a sweet lake! How is it so many smaller cities than Jacksonville, FL have such nice lake and Jacksonville has nothing worth mentioning?

To me it looks like most of Jacksonville's lakes are over grown estuaries with a large amount of weeds along the shore and in the water, no place to walk near the lake and no shade, restrooms or parking near the lake.
