Just got back and wanted to say thanks to Tony, Bill, Don, Bob, Keith, Art and the rest of the gang for a great time today. Loads of fun running our boats as TS Hanna was bearing down on us (ignoring the mysterious dead zones on the lake).

Fun Run

I just want to thanks all my fellow members of Sub Ron 4 for putting together a great week end party at our 2008 Groton Fun Run. I would also like to thank all the members from other sub rons for attending and making it a fun time, all of us in Sub Ron 4 hope you had a good time and enjoyed the day playing with other big kids and there toys.
Here are a few pictures of the day I am sure there will be more from other people.
Once again thanks for the great day.

Everyone talks about how good the roadkill was, and that Shark fin soup was good too, but what about those beverages?
That inexpensive, simple RCABS water was so much better than that expensive, complicated Propel fitness water!

The folks from SubComEast also

The folks from SubComEast also had a *great* time Saturday. It was a very enjoyable day-long running of boats and swapping of lies....err, stories!

As already mentioned, the weather in the form of tropical storm Hanna held off until around 5:30pm, giving us just about a perfect day of running. I've got a lot of photos, taken by Andre Burgess and myself, that I need to start uploading. Hopefully will get a chance to start this today or tomorrow.

We're already looking forward to next year's run!

Many thanks for the effort that Tony, Bill and the others put into making this a first rate fun run! It was practically like a SubRegatta from the 'old days'.

All I can say is

All I can say is WOW WHAT A DAY! Thanks to all that made this Fun Run possible, the organizers, the participants and the Sub widows who allowed their better halves to come up and play. I believe we had more boats in North Lake than the base had on the water front! I am currently working on the write up for the Fox Report so anyone that took pictures who has one they would like to included please send it to me and I will see what I can do. No guarantees because of a picture limit but I will try. As soon as I can I will post the pictures I have.

It was a blast to have all you guy's and ladies over to help liven up the joint. I had a smile on my face all the way home. As a matter of fact my poor wife had to give me "The Look" to get me to shut up about how much fun the day was. The poor girl. I really enjoyed talking with you and checking out the neat projects you brought with you. The forums don't do justice to your rocket sleds by the way. Those things are crazy!
