Any of you guys expierenced in cutting and soldering brass can do me a small job? I can provide the drawings, all I need is a couple of brass brackets made up and soldered to another brass bracket with a brass bush installed, plus a pin made to connect the two.

Cash payment, of course...

So the triangular piece has

So the triangular piece has a t-section on the rear face i.e. the bit with the 1/8" holes drilled in it (spacing of holes needed BTW).

Also, perhaps a stainless rod to swivel in the brass bushes as opposed to brass?

What is the application? If it's not heavily stressed the parts can be soft soldered. If they're stressed, silver soldered.

Sorry, forgot to tell you

Sorry, forgot to tell you what it's for...it the stern gear on Sequel 5. The triangle bracket screws to the rear panel and supports the steering nozzle, the long brass strip is the bottom support and the pin is to connect the two and hold the nozzle in position.

Stainless would be fine mate.

PS..I've attached an image, sorry it's not too good, it's just a plastic mock up but it may give you an idea. The plastic triangle is the piece that needs replacing with the brass item. The bottom support isn't shown.

Okay. I've had a fish

Okay. I've had a fish around in the brass drawer today. I don't have much in the way of 1/8" or 1/4" brass, I have lots of thinner sheet, which will be more than upto the task and will be less weight on the stern.

I'm loathe to go out and buy any brass, as the nearest brass stockist is some distance away.

Sounds fine to me Andy, if you think it's ok then I'll go with that. It has to support the nozzle top and bottom, that's the criteria...I leave the final decision entirely in your capable hands mate.
