SubComDeepSouth meeting schedule

Gents,

A recent poll indicated that a regular scheduled meeting is desirable. With that in mind and based on responses and schedules the SubComDeepSouth group will hold regular sub runs at Gilligan's Island on the fourth Saturday of the month. If you were not polled please accept my apologies.

This months meet will be June 28 at 10am. Get your stuff ready and post a reply o this page if you can attend. There are some plans for hot dogs and such.

This does not mean we will not venture to Devils Den but that location is in it's summer algee bloom and that makes for a more difficult run. Future runs will be there but not for a few months.

I have been asked if we could do the BBQ thing instead of lunch at a restaurant. I have a small grill and some Match-light we can use. Someone has offered to pick up some dogs. Anyone for drinks and condiments?

I would hazard a guess that there will be about five on site.

Tis was a great run !

Although there were only three present we had a blast! I have sent the Dark Lord AKA Kevin Price some info and pictures for the Report but I will divulge some info here. The water was crystal clear! If I had a set or swim trunks I would have been into it up to my chest! Warren Wilson brought his GIANT U-boot and spent the day prowling the waters. Lyle Price brought a Dumas Tug and his Revell GATO. Both of which looked great. The Revell is still in work so did not get wet but it is only a few hours from getting wet.

As for me any the Marlin MK 5 well, that was not so good. The hullis taking shape but time has become an issue. I am working as much as I can on the model to prepare for the Subregatta but I may not make it. We will see.

The marlin hit a mine ans was destroyed.

However we can rebuild her, faster, better, more stuff to go wrong....

Ask you dad how she looked when he saw her last. We were toying with a new CT. Lyle, don't say much as it is a secret. I don't want a bunch of copycats taking my glory.

So I will take a picture of the pig boat and send it to you. BTW I did order a WTC from Atomic Subs. I'm waiting for it to arrive. When that gets here I will be first class and wet.
