Yep, always fun to get together and play and try new ideas. The camera on the topsides of the Akula did not go as planned. Maneuverability was very reduced and the trim was hard to achieve. The YMCA building creates way too much interference and just when I had it trimmed I'd loose signal and in came the failsafe. Too much surface running and splashing water (I almost got seasick and hurled on the keyboard watching the video). The video was poor except for a few seconds here and there especially of Don's Osler's sub passing by me under water. The video with the camera slung underneath did not come out. Camera malfunction (actually operator error). Could not see the LCD screen to tell if it was on. The sub maneuvered much better with the camera under the sub but I got nothing. This learning curve sucks bilge water.
Next time.
Hi Paul,
We had one Tracker at the Y this time and the same problem was there. We had all radios off and let the Seeker lock but then it lost lock and it was never able to reestablish. Weird!! BD.
