Travelling through events

In my case, I usually, participate in the 50% of the events, not all events. The members of "The Flotilla" participate in greater or lesser degree like me. But yes, it is a busy (and expensive) schedule. The distance between these events is no more than 300km. There are other events in Spain wich are more far, but this list is made for Presidents of RC Boat Associations wich are near Barcelona. For example, in the Castellon event (300km from Barcelona) there are people who travel from Madrid or from Cantabria, 500 or 800 km, but this are "rare" people. Here in Spain the gas and the toll highway are more expensive than USA or Netherlands. I travelled once time a lot of years ago to Netherlands and I don't remember toll highgway. And luckily the distances in your Country are smaller than Spain. And flat.
The main reasons to participate in an Event, are the friends, the quality of the shipping place, and the distance from our "base-harbor". The Job and the family don't allow more than this.

yes, our country is a bit smaller.
luckily we sometimes are invited in Belgium and Germany.
And Spain is now an even more attractive holiday destination
for us !

Disculpen la toma de libertad, pero no creo que lo hayan hecho en espaÃ±ol, pero aquÃ va de todos modos:
Un saludo efusivo de bienvenida a todos los integrantes de "La Flotilla", vale!
Me llamo Brian y vivo en New Jersey, (costa Este) EEUU, el otro dÃa tuve el placer de platicar telefÃ³nicamente con Salvador MorÃ³n, un caballero que ha impresionado estos forums con su extraordinaria habilidad de fotografiar modelos de submarinos.
Actualmente estoy construyendo el modelo Akula II de Scale Ships y estoy bastante avanzado, aunque estoy tratando de resolver un problema de disparidad del casco de arriba con el de abajo.
Sin mÃ¡s, saludos y buen modelaje.
