Hey brad,

I reckon that If I take enough pics and get down enough names I can write an article for the SCR that should rival the US SCR regatta report.

I haven't built anything new, but did rebuild both my Akula & Kilo so now (touch wood!!) they're both performing much better My latest project is actually a Flower class corvette for my eldest son, but once I'm done with it I'll be starting another Soviet sub, in 1/72 scale this time.

I've been playing a lot with my new ATC2K camera and look forward to recording some nice underwater footage from this at the SubRegatta. It produces great surface video at our boat club's lake, but the visibility is unfortunately very limited underwater there so it'll be great to use it in the nice, clear pool instead.

I look forward to catching up with you again in a couple of months!

If I gave you a blank VHS Cassette when I see you in Canberra could you take it home with you and record all the underwater action?

I'll be taking a few

I'll be taking a few extra ATC cameras to Canberra with me for anyone who's interested in trying one.

I'm planning on mounting 2 of them on my Type IX, U-861. One in front of the conning tower (where I've normally got one) and one behind the conning tower, pointing back over the stern. I don't want to miss anything this time!!!

I'd love to try one of your cameras! I'd stick one on the back end of my chinese SSBN "Xia" pointing forward. I'd also stick one on one of my swedish "x" fin boats pointing back towards the Minisub (URF) coming along for the ride....

I'm sorry to hear of the demise of Rankin, been there done that. Expansion can be a killer. Look forward to catching up.

I've had to send my WTC to john D in queensland after some serious electricl aproblems. He's solved them and we should be good for canberra.

I'd like to give a HUGE THANK YOU to Gwen & Karl Maurer and Allan Collins for an absolutely terrific weekend at the Sub Regatta in Canberra last weekend. Everyone had a great time and a hell of a lot of fun with, what looked like 20 or so ATC cameras mounted on subs. The footage from the weekend will be amazing and I'm sure that there will be heaps of photos and video to follow very shortly.

CASWELL INC bringing submarine stuff to Australia

My brother Paul is here with me in the USA for a couple of weeks and we're trying to work out the best way to ship product for him to carry in Australia for you.

If you would like to see specific models or components held 'in stock' in Melbourne, please let me know. We are hoping this move will reduce freight costs and make product more readily available, but I need a list to get this going.
