Welcome to the Subron5 area! I'm so jazzed I beat that nefarious Paul Crozier to the punch but I expect he'll chime in. I don't know of any active members in Kansas per se but just south in OK and up here in Nebraska you'll have some company. Not to mention that Denver bunch. You should check Pauls site:
thanks for the info..
i will actually be moving at the beginning of march from tennessee to independence, ks.
(although this depends on what they offer me )
i will stay in touch with you guys and hope by next year to have some of my models up and running...
Welcome aboard, Stefan! As Tim said your annual directory should have contact info for the two members in Kansas. Tom in NE and Don Baker in OK are very active members. Matt is still in Wichita but doesn't have a lot of time for the subs these days. We look forward to running with you!
So far we've met annually in central Texas. We have to have someone local to find a good running spot. Fred Newth has some spots scoped out in the Dallas area. We just haven't set anything up yet.
We'd all like a closer sub meeting, but the hobby is so small that isn't possible for everyone. For example - I drive 675 miles (one way) for each SubRon 6 meeting --- four times per year! The remedy is for you to get more guys interested in the hobby, sign them up into the SubCommittee and start a local chapter.
