Well I played around on photoshop for like 3-4hr and this is what ive come up with. Its unlike any of the other sub comm patches. Its simple to keep cost down and I think it sticks out. Any comments or things that you think I should add. ANYONE please give me input. I think its still missing something but cant see it yet.

I like the desighne but add some Ruusian subs also since there is a fleet of them also in this club,just a thought .

Well I know there are

Well I know there are russian subs in our fleet. I own a couple of them. The thing is where do i put it. The thing is that the more complicated it gets the more exspensive production is. I made the patch (or tried to) so that the sub is very generic. I geuss the sail is whats making it an american boat.
Besides that we have many in our club that operate Diesel boats, and si-fi boats. Should I try to slam all of them on there aswell.... Just a thought.

These are nice Kevin. I'd get rid of the the big black shape around it and make it just say "SUBCOM DEEP SOUTH" up above the states—no "The SubCommittee"—not needed and it just makes it busier. If you look at the other SubCommittee groups they don't include "The SubCommittee" also in their logos.

If you'd like, send me a jpg of what you have and I'll tweak it and clean it up a bit, and you can see what you think.

Don't exactly like the shape and color. Can you dream up something with a shark or gator? It is the subcommdeepsouth afterall.

Perhaps something conferedate?

Also perhaps side shots of a nuke and gato like the warren man had on the poster for the event.

well i was trying to stay away from cartoonish things. THe shape of the patch was actually taken from the uss georgia, i thought it stood out amongst the rest. But what shape are you looking for. Trying to get complicated makes it cost more.

That being said - here's my two bits - include SubCommittee... several chapter logos include it... and it helps promote the organization.

i think it looks good with the sub committee at the top it adds balance to it. I know its not going to please everyone but whos incharge? I heard some people made sketches ages ago but nothing came of them. If im on the case im gonna get results. Ive already selected a place to get them made. Priceing is dependent on the patch ofcourse.

Hey Guys, I hope you don't mind me posting this. I got a little bored tonight waiting for the paint to dry on my sub, so i took a few minutes and put this together...

WOW mine looks boring and

WOW mine looks boring and pathetic now. I like it. A Hunley representing the south. The states. And..nice and simple looks great! AS of now this is my favorite. But how would it look once made into a patch.... any input buddy.

Nuke, your idea was great. I just added a little to it. Hope you guys don't mind. The Hunley is a perfect represenative of southern ingenunity.

I think this could be made into a nice looking patch, but the picture of this sub might have to change. Maybe look for a better picture of the sub, something more generic or an outline of the Hunley? Here's an example using Tim Smalley's Hunley (Maybe your original Nuke would work better)

Here you go Kevin. Professionally done logo for you. If you want to use it, let me know and I'll send you a large JPG and an EPS vector file that an embroiderer would want for the patch. The EPS can also be reproduced at any size without losing resolution.
