submarine sighting in Appingedam

In the netherlands, Appingedam (Groningen)
the model boating club "Ekenstein" will organise
a weekend, with some submarines showing up
(or staying submerged..).
the weekend is 14/15th of june.

The actual happening will take place at
"landgoed Ekenstein".
The event will last the whole weekend, but
opening hours are not known.

If there are any pressing questions, I can contact
the people in charge.

Anybody wanting to show off his own models
would be advised to let me know on this board,
so I can bring you into contact with the organisation.

Count me in for the visit. Since Appingedam is about 60K from my home, it's no problem getting there. Carpooling is appreciated. If someone going there plans to go via Afsluitdijk and Leeuwarden, pls contact me.

afsluitdijk (My dad lives in Leuuwarden, and is expecting a
beautiful mill (=freesbank))

This is great,finally we are getting organized in holland.I am building the robbe u47 and i can definitely use some help.
I will certainly come to appingedam and hope all dutch submarinebuilders will do so.

several clubs will be present, nearly all clubs will be there
both days.
some sub-club from Antwerp is expected, which is news
for me!
also, several German guys will show up. It is not sure
if Sonar e.v. will be present.

There is a pond and an artificial basin, it is an outdoors
event.

I will most likely be there on Sunday.
I will bring my subs, but both will most likely not be
operational.
one burnt out and needs a new depth controller (with a
stepper motor this time) and the other is simply not
finished yet

It seems the sonar website mentioned this date.
I called Sonar people to inform them just now,
after I asked the "Ekenstein" organisation to be absolutely
sure.
