      Back to the Balao.
      Keel

      Back to the Balao.
Keel nearly done. About ready to move into the stern and do the tail feathers.

Prop guard holes filled in. Note out of scale weld lines removed.

New keel. Weld lines are also removed from the main hull.

        Awesome job, Wayne! The keel

Awesome job, Wayne! The keel and flood holes look great!

I'm a little intimidated that you've spent 70 hours on it so far, as I don't have much spare time anymore...

          Carl,
Much of that is the "learning curve". I could do this again in a fraction of the time. And , glad to help anyone who is thinking of it. Believe me, I made all the dumb mistakes.
Man, don't hesitate, dive in!!! There is a seemingly unavoidable learning curve. I reall appreciate the countless hours Merrimen must have suffered through to get where he is. You are not born with it, you earn it.
