I should be going, hopefully with something fishy and a chubby sub or two.

Even if you don't get it wet, bring it along. Its always nice to see such a boat displayed and I wager there won't be another one there

              Hello all,
              I regret that

              Hello all,
I regret that I will not be able to attend the Norwich event this year as someone has gone sick at work and I feel that it is more important that our patients get their operations done than me going to the sub run.
If it were your broken leg/hip/wrist that needed fixing, I think you might agree.

Andy et al, please could you take lots of pics and post them so I can see what I will have missed.

              Paul.

                      I hadn't finished the things

I hadn't finished the things I hoped to take up. So I decided to skip the Norwich day and aim for the Tadley show in October.

Looks like a good day, although there seem to be lots of targets present.

How many boats turned up in all, anyone take a count?

Was that the dreaded algae I spotted in the water?

The club pond up at Colney Heath has gone a fetching pea green colour, which makes it hopeless for subs.

Will need to get some 'Crystal Lake' treatment for next year.

Next main event is Tadley in October. We get a pool at that venue.

                      Who's going to that?

                      Andy

                        Ah ok,

There were quite a few subs there, more subs than targets IIRC. I'd guessimate 20.

When and where is the tadley show?

                          I counted at least 25

I counted at least 25 subs at one point, a few had gone by the time I got the camera out . I may make it for Tadley.

                            That's a respectable turnout.

                            Michael,
                            Tadley is near Basingstoke, Hampshire.

Bit of a trek from the Midlands I'm afraid.

Kudos to Paul Cook for organising the day Norwich day, we could do with more of these sorts of shows throughout the year.

Does someone have the exact date for the Tadley show?

I know it's in October (so thermal underwear at the ready) but I have lost the sheet I had with the dates on.

We had a bloke in who 'allegedly' stabbed himself eight times! Think he had a helping hand myself, but hey there's nothing like misguided loyalty. Still, another life saved.

Andy, more details on Tadley please - now my next target.
