Hello Stefan its Dave ,I live only 35 min. from Devels Den and I would be available to help in any way .I am aquianted withthe management since he and I are into Rc cars ect. I can secure a good group rate on the camping/RV and condos.
As we see the number of members coming on that date I can relay that to him and work out a deal.Please be sure to include the family members as well.Sooner the better as these campgrounds do get booked for the winter snowbirds.
It is also posible to have a fun run at the Gennie springs since there fairly close by about 90min from each other ,realy worth a subrun!!,like on sunday.Have a good Day Dave

I'd like to see a pre meeting about this regatta. I could take the info to Carmel and get more support for it. Also to spread the word. My contact sheet for the SUBCOM shows that we have about 50 people in the general area who are members and could attend our regatta......

My point was that I see 50 people whoare members of the SUBCOMMITTEE and live in Florida. We could have at least 40 people show up to sail their subs. Perhaps we could contact them by email and propose this event?

Hello Fellow Sub Drivers, I

Hello Fellow Sub Drivers, I would like to applaud the efforts of those of you actively involved in getting other bubbleheads like myself to participate in a FunRun/Regatta here in Florida. This scheduled event at the Devil's Den is hopefully favorable to Floridians as well as those in the Southern States. I hope to see others recognize this opportunity to participate and come together in what may become something more. A possible annual or semi annual event that may even become part of a winter vacation of sorts,at least for those living in harsher climates during the winter months. In any event, I'm certainly interested and would make every effort to attend this Gala event. LOL. Regards, Al

who would be willing to meet at the lake say by latest middle next month, so we can check out the location and get things organized ?

i 've been working on our sub-comm deep south logo.. might need some help but will post it soon..

I think you said you will not be in attendance at the Carmel regatta correct? I will be meeting with Tim Smalley and others to discuss the regatta this time. I wil request help with some of the items you mentioned on our "to do" list. Let's see what comes from these discussions and I can better inform the group when I get back.
