        Greetings! Carmel/Westfield resident here, and

Greetings! Carmel/Westfield resident here, and curious about the hobby - I plan on being there to see the FunRun. I've got a background in naval (and other) wargaming and modelling/miniatures. Off the top of my head, there's a few hobby shops nearby. Hobby Lobby, Hobbytown USA (remodeled and large), a few gaming stores - Game Preseve and Boardroom Games. Hobbytown USA is the only one that's an RC/model shop. There may be a few others, I'll see what I can find out. Please, feel free to ask me any questions about the area; I don't know if you all have a local member, I'd like to help out how I can.

          Hi Noah -

          Hi Noah -
Chris Campbell is our local guy who is a member of the Indy Admirals model boat group (the folks we are "jammin'" with on the 17th.) He's a good guy with lots of energy and really into RC subs.

We have a great bunch of guys in SubRon6 and this new location has everyone in SubRon6 very energized and ready to spread the word about this hobby. We have at least one TV outlet coming to do a live shot Friday morning. In my experience, when we do that, we get a lot of the local citizenry out to see the subs. Jeff LaRue shipped me 50 SubCommittee brochures. I hope that's enough!

Looking forward to seeing you on the 17th! I hope we can convince you to join our merry band of sub-moonies!

I am planning to be at the Carmel, Indiana SubRon6 spring show. I was wondering who else is planning to attend and what models they will be bringing? This will be my first regatta and I plan on bringing my drool bucket. See you there.

              Dave -
Looks like about 15 - 20 SubRon6 guys (See tentative partial list below) plus a few from the Indianapolis Admirals local club. Impossible to say what models will be there. I'm not even sure which ones I will bring yet but probably the ROV for some U/W shots for everybody's subs, the Hunley, and Type XXIII. Maybe the Blueback and / or Alfa. Skip will most likely bring Marlin and or Albacore.

See you at the pond May 17!

                  Sorry guys,
I'm going to have to bow out of this fun run to handle some family stuff(I really wanted to try that reflecting pool). Who knows maybe if you have the August fun run in Carmel I'll get my chance.
See some of you at Edina on the 7th and 8th of June.
