        Hey Paul,

        I called the local

        Hey Paul,

I called the local YMCA and asked to speak with the Aquatics Director and I explained what our SubRon and the SubCommittee was all about and mentioned that our group was looking for an indoor site to run our subs during the winter. After I spoke with her, I was directed to speak with one of the administration managers at that branch to workout the financials. They gave me a price of $100 dollars to run 4 times during the winter, so splitting that up between 6 guys, it's a one time fee of $16.00 per person. This fee was to cover the cost of a paying staff member to stay after hours. What a deal !!!

I also stopped in to introduce myself and I dropped off our SubRon flyer and the Sub Committee brochure. Seeing the pictures and how organized we are, really helped us get into their facility. The YMCA staff was very excited about us coming in and there were a few employees that dropped by to check us out. We had an awesome time...

All I can say is that it's worth the effort to ask, the worst thing that can happen is that they say no. If that would have been the case for me, my next venture would have been to try other YMCA's in the area and if that failed I would seek out local high school swimming pools.

        I hope this help !....

        Paul

              Thanks for the info, Paul.

Thanks for the info, Paul. There's a Y with an indoor pool near the house and it would make a great location to run until the water warms up a bit (on ice in these parts).
