This coming monday (21st march) there is a new series of Chris Barries Massive Engines starting on Channel 5.

The first one, on at 8pm, is about subamrines, and will feature the Vanguard submarine, amongst others.

Should be worth watching, the last series was good fun.

Well, I will be recording

Well, I will be recording it onto DVD for my own reference.

I could possibly put it onto VHS tape, but it will be in PAL format. Or I could try burning it onto a CD in VCD format (assuming you have a computer or DVD player that will play VCD, most will).

Recorded the program and watched it, all okay.

Some nice clips of the HMS Vigilant- all too brief though!

Just need to figure out how to burn a copy of the disk, as my computer DVD player won't read DVD + only DVD -.

Worst comes to worse, it'll be back to good ol' fashioned VHS!

Had some problems trying to

Had some problems trying to read the DVD on my computer. Turns out my drive will only read DVD-RW, and the recorder is DVD +, grrrrr!

Anyway, I've ordered a new drive (needed a DVD burner anyhow), this will read anything I throw at it (well nearly).
