    New to Subs

Looking for some ideas on a good model to start with (and a UK supplier) - I don't particularly want one that darts about like a fish under water -something a bit sedate will do me for starters - any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hi Ian,

Welcome to a very interesting and enjoyable hobby!

Perhaps the best place to start would be with SubTech, now in the capable hands of Dave Keogh who himself is in the UK. Dave can be contacted at sales@rcboats.com or telephone 01458 270097. The SubTech web site can be found at]www.rcboats.com[/url].

If you are an experienced modeler then you might also wish to also contact Bob Dimmack of OTW, who is also in the UK (London). Bob can be reached at www.otwdesigns.com.

Thanks Guys - I'll follow up that info. The only modelling experience I've had is building a surface craft called Paula 111 by Robbe. I enjoyed building the boat but my secret passion is for subs. Thanks again.

          A couple more- HFM Deep

A couple more- HFM Deep dive VI. Cheap and cheerful

Also the Revell Type VII with Norbert Bruggens conversion is reasonably cost effective.
