The SubComEast September fun run will be next Saturday (the 11th) at Lake Carasaljo in beautiful downtown Lakewood, NJ. When we've gotten our fill of running boats, everybody is invited to come to the Asay residence for some dogs, burgers, etc. as well as the usual chewing of the fat.
I'll have a map to the lake site as well as my house available tomorrow.
This will also be an opportunity to meet Dave Keogh, the new owner of SubTech.
I am hoping I can make it down Saturday to hook up with you all. Can you update us for directions again as I am sure I don't
have them from the last time I was down your way. If I get
tied up doing "family stuff" best on your retirement from the business and see you at the pond in October.
...and then we could just post the directions here :
Saturday, Sept. 11 10:00AM Everyone is invited to Skip Asay's house for dogs and burgers afterward.
Directions:
From NJ Turnpike (North/South) - exit 7A (Route 195 East) to Exit 31 (Route 9). Take Route 9 south approximately 5 miles to Lakewood. In Lakewood, Route 9 shrinks from 4 lanes to 2. At that point, Lake Carasaljo is on the right side. At the next traffic light (Route 528 - Central Ave.) turn right then turn right again on to Lapsley Lane (7th street on right).
Site is at end of Lapsley.
From Garden State Parkway South - Get off at Exit 88 and stay right onto Route 70 West. After 4th light, turn right onto Route 9 north (look for bridge which you would go under if you stayed straight - but don't go under it!). Go north until you see a lake on left. Turn left at light (Route 528
- Central Ave.) and then right on to Lapsley Lane (7th street on right).
Site is at end of Lapsley.
