    Visiting the U.K

I am planning a trip to u.K from 28 / 8/04 to 2/10/04 . Is there any sub activity on at this time? A second choice would be a boating regatta. Pat Drake, Queesland, Australia.

    Ha!

    You'll be just in time

    Ha!

You'll be just in time for the Norwich Boat Club Submarine day on 29/08/04.

It's the second year it's run, and although I couldn't make it last time, it was very well attended by all accounts.

      Pat,

      My latest AMS "In Depth"

      Pat,

My latest AMS "In Depth" also recommends the Barley Lands show in Essex 11 & 12th Sept.

Email me separately if you want further details.

Don't forget the RN submarine museum at Gosport with a lot of new exhibits including the Holland in its new building.

I trust all is well with your Pinger - it has now saved its second submarine over here!

        It is not a UK

It is not a UK visit but a good article also in the latest AMS "In Depth" describes a day visit from Portsmouth to Cherbourg.

"Le Redoubtable" is a French "boomer" which has been cut open for visitors at the "Cite de la Mer" (also sounds worth a visit).

I haven't been yet but French undersea exhibits are usually of a very high standard and I don't know where else in the world you can visiit a nuclear powered missile submarine.

        Have fun!
