October 2025 SubRon 8 Indoor Y Sub Fun Run

Yesterday we had our monthly Indoor Y pool SubRon 8
Sub Fun Run. The Y water was still nice and clear.
We had 5 R/C submarines patrolling the pool and 2 targets.

Greg ran The SkipJack Class SSN-588 Scamp, Chris ran his
Red Barron Sub, Larry brought his Akula, I brought the SkipJack
Class SSN-591 Shark, Patti ran the Flying Sub (FS1) and
    George and Donnie ran targets.

Greg’s SSN-588 Scamp was running great.
His ballast system is the Reverse RCABS system.
If you want to remember how a Reverse RCABS ballast system
works, you can refer to SCR (Sub Committee Report) #69 page 26.

As usual, a fun time had by all. Here are some pics.

Nice! Was attendance down? Still, I love the location and how you get to run in a pool.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.
