The type VII should look familiar to many that have been here a while. It was Big Daves revell 1/72 scale sub. I acquired it a couple of few years ago. It didn't have any internals anymore . Fortunately I found one of his cylinders online that someone else had built and was selling so the boat is back in BD condition. A little ballast work and rebuilding the damaged details and then I can move on to his Gato. I consider myself fortunate as I have 5 of his boats and 2 boats that he Built the internals for.

I agree. I feel fortunate to have some boats or cylinders from several that I consider greats. It is owning a piece of history that many will not understand (unless they have been in this hobby for awhile)
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.
