Have a look at the marine section gallery.

    Pool depth is about 18".

Also Broomfield Park have a reasonable pond. Based at Palmers Green, North London.

      You may also try Childe

You may also try Childe Beale Park home of the Mid Thames Model boat club.

It may be at the limit of your range but it is a good pond in a lovely location out on the M4 near Pangbourne. (My subs like it there!)

There is a twice yearly boat show where bringing your boat would give you a chance to try the pond and entrance is free.

I have seen people with model boats at a lake (the one around the periphery, not near the restaruants where the coin operated RC boats are) at Bluewater shopping centre as you drive into one of the car parks. Not sure how deep it is though.

Cheers, I have been using my Sheerline Akula in the Royal Victoria Dock but its a bit scary I and I don't want to risk the Typhoon there. Colney Heath is not deep enough, but I'll check out Broomfield Park (I am building a surface scout boat from a Robbe kit with an underwater camera and sonar to measure depths and look for underwater objects!).

            Any other ideas?

            Hi,

If Colney Heath is too shallow, then don't even consider Broomfield Park, as the boating lake is only about 15" deep.

            Only suits ickle boats.

              Also there is the Black

Also there is the Black Park model Club based at Black Park just noorth of Slough. Usually very clear water and several other Subs on Sundays. There's even a board with the telephone number of a Diver if you really need it. Water depth is variable from a couple of feet at the edge down to probably 20ft in the middle

Yes the Model Yatch Club still use it on Sundays. It always seems to be open for public use on other days. I don't think its very deep though.
