Here in the desert, this past weekend, weather predicted 40% rain Saturday and 50% on Sunday.
I got about 20 minuted of rain Saturday night...3:00am or so.
Next weekend has a prediction a little less.
So I plan to go even if it means it's just for lunch with friends.
Only if there is snow on the pass over the mountain. . . .well more ice than snow.
Watching the forecast.
Here in the desert the forecast has gone from 40% to 15%.
15% is either no rain or a 10 minute flash flood.
Each day looks better.
I will keep watching.
Tom, with the distance you travel, I understand your concerns.
Was just coming on here to remind everyone of our regular run on Saturday—but I see you guys are way ahead of me as usual. I too am concerned about the weather reports I’m hearing, and though the boats don’t care, I’d definitely prefer not to run in a downpour! I will send out a quick e-query to the group to see if everyone would prefer postponing to NEXT Saturday the 19th. Majority vote will rule.
I will post and email results when they are tallied. (I myself could make it next Saturday, but only till about 10:30.) Anyway, we’ll definitely go with the group consensus.
The votes are in and everyone’s agreed, so our run is now officially postponed until next Saturday the 19th. See you all then at the usual spot and time. (Barring more inclement weather!)
