Hi folks, and Happy October.
With the onset of fall / winter, we get back to running subs and ships indoors, at the YMCA pool in Shrewsbury, PA.
As always, we're meeting the second Sunday of the month, from October thru April. The pool will be open for us at 1000, and we run until 1300. Following the run time we'll adjourn to a local restaurant for lunch and general BS.
Some basic info:
There is a cost involved for pool rental. As in the past, I rent the pool then split the cost among the attendees. This usually winds up being in the $6 - $9 range.
We run submarines and scale ships. This is not a venue for fast electrics, any power source other than battery, etc. If you have a model which is too fast to be operated safely in the proximity of other models, please either leave it home or only operate it when there are no other craft on/in the water.
Scale subs are notoriously difficult to see when submerged, slow, and difficult to maneuver. They generally tend to stay towards the shallow end of the pool. Surface craft are expected to keep watch for them and avoid getting too close.
The YMCA address is 100 Constitution Ave, Shrewsbury, PA 17361
If you need any other information or I can help in any way, please let me know. I hope to see you Sunday!
