2018 End of year outdoor fun run

    SubRon8 Fall Run and Picnic

Yesterday we held our last fun run in the park for this year. The weather was very warm and humid but this
didn’t prevent us from having a great time. The pond water level was pretty low, but the weeds were virtually
non existent which made running great once either Greg or Chris waded in to launch the boats.

This year we were joined by the usual Canadian captains, and a new Canadian captain from their SubRon.
Jim Butt came to run with us as well.

As always Don May did a great job of cooking hots and hamburgs, the Canadians brought the usual delicious
Butter Tarts. The rest of us supplied salads and chips.

Our newest member Ed ran the Minion sub, then taught his young son Josh how to run it. His older son had
run RC cars and was able to run the Minion sub with just a few moments of instruction.

Just a great day with good friends and food.

                The photos are wonderful!
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

What a great day! Who ever put in the "Gorgeous weather req" did a fantastic job! The low winds also made for some fantastic photo opportunities.

That would be the four "B" rating - Boats, brats, butter cookies, and Bull
Sounds like a good rating to me!
