May 2018 pool run

We had the last of our monthly pool runs for the season at the Y last night, will be heading out to the pond for our first run and picnic in two weeks. Here are some pictures from last night:

Good Fun Run. Brought out the Abe Lincoln (Engel Patrick Henry kit) for the first time since
the early 2000's. Totally refurbished the pumps and electronics. She only had one leak at the
prop shaft. Should have her running very soon.

Is the Canadian crew coming down for the first picnic in a couple weeks?

We'll be coming for the May 19th run. I plan on bringing USS MARLIN, USCGC MANITOU, another surface vessel under construction, and maybe a Type VII. Picture is CGC MANITOU (WYT 60), on the Greenland Patrol 1943-45; painted in the MS-16 Thayer Blue scheme. She was armed with a pair of 20mm Oerlikons.
