    April 2018 SCE Sub Build Day

    We had another great get-together at Jim's place today. Joe completed his Engel Type 212 and got it all trimmed out. Mike was able to hammer out a few issues with his cylinder, and we had a nice Q&A session. Jim was able to do some more fine tuning to his behemoth Holland. I got the bow thruster installed in the Ohio. Also, Jeff gave me lots of good info and advice for the newly arrived Arkmodel 1/48 Type VII, next on my bench.

      Definitely a good time was had by all!

      With Joe's Type 212 having completed her initial trim tests, SubComEast now has an operational fleet of 3 Type 212's! We have one more nearing completion and another awaiting for construction to begin.

          Jeff, where did that big Holland boat come from. It's not a 32nd Parallel kit is it?

                          If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.
