Some may have been following my Akula II build over on SubPirates.

Today, I have good news.
The build is complete.
The controls have been tested, then set, and tested again.
Tomorrow, the boat goes in to the water for trimming.

It looks real likely that I will be bringing this boat on June 10th.

I kept a log of my time.
Even logged mistakes and set backs.
The paint was a very bad experience.

But it looks like the actual built time was 23.5 hours.
This does not count the back steps and repaint.
Also waiting for a part that should have been ordered with the boat but was not shown as an option on the list of options.

My opinion. . .
This was not a build. There were no parts to make. Just some minor filing to fit.
This was a kit assembly.

There were issues for me but that was due to the German to English translation in the instructions.
Required rereading several times and in my case, backing up and redoing a couple of things. (I put it all in my building log)

I did a cost log as well.
Turns out, the parts for a scratch built boat and building this kit are withing about $50 USD.
But the time involved has no comparison.

I have less than 30 days from the time I received it and now ready to trimming.

I think there are two Akula II build threads going on this forum.
