These were recon shots from today........I have never seen the water this clear. Wow.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

    Started my day.
Was in the shop putting laundry in the washer and turned to the work bench to continue on my Skipjack ballast system modification.
Was thinking of what I need in town today besides Gorilla Glue and then I realized, our next gathering is only a week away.
    Sept 10th.
    Talk about motivation!

Thank you, guys, for starting this thread...

A reminder here that we WILL be running our boats this Saturday, Sept. 10, at our usual pond in Yorba Regional Park in Anaheim. Remember, it's five bucks to get in. Hope to see you all there.

As for myself, I'm planning to arrive at or before 7:30, but due to a prior commitment I forgot about, must leave this time by 11:00. As such, I'm only bringing along little Blueback who, rest assured, has been totally repaired and tested since last time's near disaster!

Green board and see you Saturday,
      Jeff

        I will be there.
At this very minute, I may even have my Skipjack running sort of.
Water tested today and found a ballast pump hose pin hole leak.
        -------------
        Radio issues sorted out.
Still working on speed controller comparability issues.
        Stuff works but not smoothly.
I have two more days but I am waiting on delivery of a ESC.

I unfortunately will not be there this time. Work is sending me to training in Northern CA.
The Neptune SB-1 has been modified and running well (more on that another time).

I'll be there with the Delta, but will have to leave early as well.

Sorry, Tom, I was so excited that everything worked for me, I did not take any photos.
However, Jeff had his camera running almost all the time. Hopefully he will post some.

Sorry, Tom. We're laid back here in LA; we don't rush into anything...! 😏😆

BTW, all had fun, at some point everyone had a boat in the water, and all returned from patrol -- all-in-all a very good day!
